These drawings by André Chiote, architect and illustrator from Portugal, combine two topics that are right up my alley – architecture and illustration art. These are some of my favorite buildings, and Chiote has such a clean style. The form and design of the architecture really pop in his artwork. www.cargocollective.com/andrechioteillustration

I am in love with this company's style. Shwood specializes in handcrafted eyewear products that are so unique in design and material. The photographs and videos on their site are simply amazing. Browse through and you'll find so much innovation in their work, from making sunglasses out of broken skateboard decks to crafting a surfboard from reclaimed wood. The entire site is definitely worth a look. Enjoy! www.shwoodshop.com

This hotel by Mobil Arquitectos in the Lakes Region of southern Chile is amazing. It is built on concrete pillars elevated over hilltops to fully capture its space, light, and skies. From the Refugia Hotel, occupants can experience incredible views of surrounding waterways, wetlands and the Andes on the mainland. The use of materials is beautiful with wood clad ceilings and glass facades that allow for natural light and connections to the environment. www.mobilarquitectos.cl Photos and video by Nico Saieh
I recently discovered the amazing photography of Emmanuel Rosario from New York City. The tones in his photos are so good, and I love how he captures the beauty and lifestyle of places throughout the country. I could get lost in his work; it makes me want to take a road trip - just me and my camera. www.emmanuel-rosario.blogspot.com
Toyin Odutola, born in Nigeria but grew up in Alabama, specializes in a very unique style of drawing and painting. I love the way she describes her methodology of "black portrait." You can definitely see it in her work. "Where some may see flat, static narratives, I see a spectrum of tonal gradations and realities. What I am creating is literally black portraiture with ballpoint pen ink. I'm looking for that in-between state in an individual where the overarching definition is lost. Skin as geography is the terrain I expand..." www.toyinodutola.com
