I am so captured by these images by Italian digital artist, Stefano Bonazzi. His work merges digital photography with charcoal drawings and photo editing techniques. Made By Hand is a project by the Bureau of Common Goods, based in Brooklyn, NY. I love the concept. They have made a series of short films showcasing handcrafted objects and the people who make them by hand, locally and sustainably. "The Cigar Shop" is one of my favorites of the series. It features a small shop in New York City that hand rolls their cigars. You really get a sense of their great craftsmanship, and I love the community vibe of their shop.

Made by Hand was created out of the belief that the things we collect, consume, use, and share are part of who we are as individuals.

This is such an amazing idea for reusing discarded books. Long-Bin Chen is contemporary Taiwanese sculptor that creates incredible forms from old books. Take a look at the video for more on his work.

Coca-Cola recently launched a really touching campaign to create connections between two conflicting nations, India and Pakistan. The concept is so brilliant, using high tech vending machines as live portal links between strangers in the two countries. It encourages people to put aside their differences and simply share a moment together, over a Coke.

This is such a brilliant and fun campaign by the ad agency GREY Group from Barcelona.  The ads are for Pilot Extrafine Pens promoting what super thin lines their pens create.  Great concept!

This is a beautiful hand drawn animation, set to music by Chopin. The short film is an autobiographical tribute by Hyun-min Lee, about a girl and her memories of her mother. I first saw this film a while back and it has always remained incredibly touching.

I just spent a good amount of time browsing through some of Greg Guillemin ‘s work.  It was hard to pick just a few images from his artwork but my favorite images are from his “Secret Hero Life” collection.  I love his spin on pop icons and graphic style.

New York artist, Sun. K. Kwak produces such creative "sculptural drawing" installations from simple, black masking tape. Using intuitive freehand techniques she creates some really cool artwork. Check out the video for more insight on her work and process.

Adam Spizak is an illustrator and designer, and a complete genius in digital art and computer graphics media. These drawings by André Chiote, architect and illustrator from Portugal, combine two topics that are right up my alley – architecture and illustration art. These are some of my favorite buildings, and Chiote has such a clean style. The form and design of the architecture really pop in his artwork.
